About the Author: Carpenter, John John Carpenter's films are legendary. In 2026, The Thing joined Halloween in the Library of Congress for its cultural and historic significance. In addition to his groundbreaking electronic film scores, he's released numerous studio albums. In comics, he co-wrote Big Trouble in Little China with Eric Powell and Old Man Jack with Anthony Burch. He and Burch also co-wrote DC's Year of the Villain: The Joker. King, Sandy Sandy King is a writer, film and television producer and CEO of Storm King Productions. Her filmmaking career has included working with John Cassavetes, Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Mann, Walter Hill, John Hughes and John Carpenter. She is the first woman to found a comic publishing house. Through Storm King Comics, she created and wrote the multiple award-winning graphic novel series Asylum and the annual anthology series Tales for a HalloweeNight, as well as the award-winning graphic novel lines Tales of Science Fiction, Night Terrors, Storm Kids and most recently, Dark & Twisted. Burke, Kealan Patrick Hailed by BOOKLIST as "one of the most clever and original talents in contemporary horror," Kealan Patrick Burke was born and raised in Ireland before emigrating to the U.S. He has written six novels, including the southern gothic slasher KIN, and over two hundred short stories and novellas, including PEEKERS, SOUR CANDY, BLANKY, and THE HOUSE ON ABIGAIL LANE, all of which have been optioned for film. A five-time Bram Stoker Award-nominee, Burke won the award in 2005 for his novella THE TURTLE BOY. As editor, he helmed the anthologies NIGHT VISIONS 12, TAVERNS OF THE DEAD, and QUIETLY NOW.
