In Volume II, the author's dog Cody celebrates his 6th birthday but continues to have attitude; to not obey any commands, but insisting on being a "free spirit." As in Volume I, Cody gives his opinion on many subjects, including politics and on dealing with restrictions due to the pandemic. Through it all, he maintains his dry sense of humor and his sense of entitlement. Of course, he also is affectionate towards his family and visitors, charming all who know him.
